“I make things beautifully and sometimes out of wood”
I’m Lorna Phillips — graphic designer, art director, portrait artist and occasional carpenter. Over thirty years I’ve designed award-winning magazines and children’s books across three continents, built a digital publication for a passionate hockey community, and somewhere along the way, built two houses. With my hands.
My work is shaped by a life lived in South Africa, the UK and Canada — by political upheaval, music scenes, theatre, and the particular quality of light on a Canadian winter morning. It all ends up in the work somehow.
Have a look around. There’s a lot to see
